Opus 1 Music Foundation programme connects acclaimed musicians with HK students of                     all backgrounds to spark a transformative experience, strengthen GBA’s cultural power.

CTF Education Group (“CTFEG”) was proud to support the Opus 1 Music Foundation (“Opus 1”) as a supporting organization, committed to forging meaningful connections between world-renowned musicians and aspiring young talents, held The Opus 1 Summerfest, a weeklong programme aimed at empowering and sparking a transformative experience for young and talented musicians in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (“GBA”). In its crowning event, the Opus 1 Summerfest Gala Concert, held in August 2022.

Every student admitted to the Summerfest programme was awarded a full scholarship by the Opus 1 Music Foundation, with support from CTFEG and private donors. This year’s Opus 1 Summerfest showcased 13 of the brightest rising music stars in Hong Kong between the ages of 12 and 18, who all completed a week-long residency leading up to the Gala Concert. To bring music into the lives of children from grassroots families, 50 students from Music Children Foundation were also invited and provided an opportunity to outreach and inspire through these talented youth.

Together with world-class and critically acclaimed musicians, violinist Mr. Jing Wang, pianist Mr. Warren Lee, and violinist Ms. Zia Shin, 13 scholars performed at the SummerFest.
