CTF Education Group ("CTFEG") is excited to announce the launch of the School Leadership Academy ("Academy") of CTFEG. Building on CTFEG's vision — “To empower the Next Generation to be Future Ready”, the Academy is dedicated to supporting the leadership development of educators in Asia and beyond.
Dr. Arnett Edwards, a highly respected education leader and educator in Hong Kong and elsewhere, has been appointed Founding Director of the Academy. Having had substantial leadership roles in a number of schools in Hong Kong for the past 25 years and significantly served from 2011 to 2023 as Principal of Li Po Chun United World College (“UWC") of Hong Kong, part of the UWC worldwide network of 18 schools and colleges, Dr. Edwards obtained his EdD in Educational Leadership at the Education University of Hong Kong and has deep expertise in system leadership and, specifically, the role leadership plays in impacting student achievement.
Dr. Edwards's vision is to develop a professional educators academy with an Asian focus: to strengthen and enhance the leadership capabilities of educators across the region. Through the support of CTFEG, the Academy will harness rich resources from across the CTFEG Ecosystem globally to support its programmes. The Academy will hold both physical and virtual events from educational leadership forums to workshops for aspiring school leaders. The Academy will also run a mentorship programme for educational leaders and act as a bridge between schools, industries, and academic circles.
